Frequently Asked Towing Questions
Q: My car is all-wheel drive. Will it need a flatbed tow truck?
A: We generally send out a flatbed truck for all wheel drive vehicles. However, our wheel lift trucks are equipped with dollies and they can tow them safely as well.
Q: Will towing be rough on my car?
A: No. Our trained professionals will expertly load your vehicle. Since your car will be towed resting on its wheels, it will be buffered against bumps in the road by its normal suspension and also the tow truck’s suspension.
Q. What special training do your tow truck drivers receive?
A. Our drivers all have more than 10 years experience in the towing industry and their training remains on-going. Each driver must maintain their towing and recovery certification by an accredited school approved by the Georgia State patrol.
Q: Is a special driver’s license required for tow truck drivers?
A: No special drivers license is required for light duty towing (vehicles under 10,000lbs). For medium and heavy duty towing, a class A drivers license with a medical certificate is required. We require our drivers to have a flawless driving record and to attend annual defensive driving classes.
Q: Can you tow my lowered car, motorcycle, airplane, or other unique vehicle?
A: Yes, we can tow almost everything from A to Z (see our photo gallery for some pictures of our most unusual cases. We are experts in motorcycle towing (see our “Motorcycle” page). Also, most lowered cars can be towed by conventional tow trucks. Call us if you have questions about your unique vehicle or situation.
